Accurate Safe & Lock was established in Seattle in 1952 by Boyd Murphy, or as everyone knew him, “Murph.” In 1998 Murph’s niece Yvonne Murphy Barbour bought the family business as her own. When Yvonne was in high school, she would cut keys for her uncle so he could run service calls. He taught her how to re-key locks and do other important lock work. When she later married a locksmith, they bought the business because it had maintained its integrity and great reputation. Yvonne is now the sole owner and maintains the business’ excellent name and standing. She prides herself on her dedication to her customers’ safety and security.
